Moalboal is a small town in south Cebu, it keeps its secret splendour under  the ocean. Don’t be discouraged  by its rugged shoreline, because the underwater experience is mind blowing ! Moalboal attracts many scuba divers, marine life photographers and free divers for one straightforward reason ,its the effortless way in to admirable coral reef for diving right from the shore. The most awaited attraction are the massive sardines run, gathering right at Panagsama beach, the dive shops, resorts, restaurants and bars are located in the main area. You don’t need to go to south Africa just to experience the annual sardine run,it is much better in Moalboal due to its warm tropical waters compared to the cold freezing water in south Africa. You can visit Moalboal year round. The finest season is between November to April, which is the high season. May to October is the typhoon or rainy season and is also the low season, even though compared to the many areas of the Philippines, Moalboal is naturally protected so it does not have a great deal of a wet season except for typhoons or low pressure systems that can cause more rain. Most of the time it is pleasant and sunny, and diving conditions are almost perfect year round. Water temperature is typically around 29-30deg Celsius and visibility is at slightest 20m to 30m.
